Advocacy  Introduction

The NCFA works to raise awareness and mobilize  national support for issues and policies relating to the Jordanian family and the rights of its members.

To realize its role as an advocacy body, the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) works to raise awareness on, advocate for, and mobilize national support for issues and policies relating to the Jordanian family and the rights of its members.

The Council’s Communication and Partnership Unit (CPU) works to realize this aim through:

  1. Encouraging the family and its members’ participation in public life, providing special attention to women, youth, and children, through campaigns and other various means.
  2. Encouraging social, cultural, and media related activities concerning the family and its members.
  3. Strengthening institutional relationships with national, regional, and international parties working in family affairs.
  4. Enhancing relationships with different communication vehicles so as to increase their awareness of family related programs.

Currently, the NCFA, through its CPU, leads Jordan’s observance of the International Year of the Family.
