Family Protection from violence is a global issue that has been diagnosed as one of the social problems in Jordan. Such awareness gave reason to proceed with the Family Protection Project (FPP) in Jordan, which was established in the year 2000 under the auspices of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah.

With the establishment of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) in 2001, it became logical to assign NCFA as the umbrella organization under which the FPP works.

At present, NCFA is developing the National Framework for Family Protection from Violence.
